The former Chief Learning Officer at Chimes International Ltd., Ann is chief advisor for all training programs relating to developmental disabilities. Ann earned a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and an MBA from Loyola College.

At Chimes, Ann was responsible for developing learning strategies for the Chimes Family of Services and its subsidiaries in six states and the District of Columbia, with a special emphasis on programs for people with intellectual and associated disabilities. As a part of her responsibilities, she identified staff training and development needs and developed the tools needed to facilitate this training.

With Training & eTracking Solutions, Ann supports the development of a new level of training program that can best prepare people for working with individuals with developmental disabilities, for whom she has staunchly advocated. With her years of experience developing tools for staff training, combined with her years of experience serving the needs of those with developmental disabilities, Ann is truly in an ideal position to ensure that online training programs will be the most effective for their users.

Arlene D. Hackbarth, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, has more than 30 years of experience in the field of behavioral and emotional health working with children, youth and families. Originally from New Jersey, Arlene moved to Maryland while completing her BA and MS in Psychology from Loyola University. As a certified clinician, she has helped countless children and families through counseling and treatment planning.

Arlene has held a variety of management positions in residential agencies for youth, including Unit Director, Risk Manager, and Director of Continuous Quality Improvement where she provided extensive training to staff, parents and teachers on a number of topics including behavioral interventions.

In addition to her work in residential programs, Arlene has a private practice specializing in working with individuals, families, and couples.

Arlene recently served as an appointee of the Governor of Maryland on a task force dealing with the treatment of co-occurring disorders.

Jason Collender, Licensed and Certified Clinical Social Worker, has more than 25 years of experience in the field of behavioral and emotional health working with children, adolescents, and adults. Jason completed his BA in psychology at Loyola University Maryland and his MSW at University of Maryland Baltimore. As a licensed and certified clinician, he has provided psychotherapy, psychoeducation, training, and consultation to countless individuals, groups, and families.

Jason has held a variety of clinical and management positions in hospital, residential treatment, educational, and managed care organizations. He also has years of experience in private practice. With more than 10 years of administrative experience, Jason has effectively led human service programs to improved efficiency, better treatment outcomes, increased staff development, healthy hiring, and employee retention. He has proven experience leading teams toward organizational change and effectiveness. One of Jason's biggest passions in his work is providing training and consultation to programs, students, employees, and families around the topics of trauma and trauma-informed care practices.

When not working in human services, Jason works as a very part-time musician and weekend carpenter.

Jeffrey has over 40 years of professional experience in human services and education. He provides consulting and training to public, private, nonprofit, and for-profit organizations on organizational improvement, strategic planning, and maximizing organizational success.

He also works with direct service staff in out-of-home care, focusing on improving services and incorporating best practices into agencies around the country. Jeffrey was previously the Senior Director for Special Projects and Training at Child Welfare League of America (CWLA) for over a decade. He has also taught at the university level and published several books for helping professionals.

Before working at CWLA, he worked for human services agencies providing a wide range of services including out-of-home care (group home, residential and foster care), family preservation services, outpatient mental health and substance abuse treatment, and adoption.

He began his career as a school teacher and school principal, and worked for the Texas Department of Education providing school improvement services for over a decade.

Currently, Jeffrey is a nationally recognized trainer, and works locally as a California Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCS 15130) and a California licensed provider of Continuing Education (PCE 4433) with over 40 years of professional experience in human services and education.

Jeffrey's subject matter areas of expertise include trauma-informed treatment in child-caring agencies and implementing evidence-based practices in child-caring agencies. Mr. Bormaster also brings knowledge and ability to assess modern-day organizational challenges including understanding today's multigenerational workforce, recruiting and retaining employees, motivating staff, hiring well, interviewing effectively, and improving operational success.

Expertise in respective fields with a significant contribution to research and practice.

Mr. Dorrill has an extensive background in health care regulatory law and compliance, litigation process, and mediation.

As the former Deputy Director for Community Programs within the Maryland Office of Health Care Quality for the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH), he was directly responsible for the licensure of Assisted Living Homes, Developmental Disability Administration Programs, Alcohol and Drug Abuse as well as Mental Hygiene Administration Programs, and Mortality Review. Prior to serving as the Deputy Director, Mr. Dorrill was the legislative liaison/Director for DHMH and the Executive Director for the Board of Physician Quality Assurance.

Mr. Dorrill is a 1975 graduate from the University of Baltimore School of Law and was admitted to the Maryland Bar that same year. He is highly skilled in the representation of legal and regulatory matters affecting the health care community. Mr. Dorrill is actively involved in the pro bono representation of clients for Maryland Volunteer Legal Services.

Joelle L. Glass has more than 10 years of experience in Public Health. Early on, Joelle knew she wanted to pursue a career in healthcare with a focus on preventative solutions. Her passion for disease prevention was reignited after working as a Prince George's County Public School teacher when it became clear how vulnerable the youth are to infectious diseases. With a Bachelors of Science in chemistry, three years of teaching experience and a Pharmacy Technician certification, Joelle joined the PG County Health Department Communicable and Vector-borne Disease Control program and contributed her expertise as a Disease Control Specialist.

Joelle continues her work in preventative solutions as an Infection Preventionist in Baltimore. A recent program recipient of an Emerging Leaders Program, Joelle's latest work was executing a field testing trial with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) on a new Mucosal Barrier Injury Laboratory-Confirmed Bloodstream Infection (MBI-LCBI) definition. The manuscript was accepted for publication in the journal of Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology.

Joelle is an active member of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) and the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA) Pediatric Leadership Council.

Mrs. Grimm is the former Executive Director for the Office of Health Care Quality for Maryland's Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. She was responsible for the oversight and monitoring of approximately 13,000 health care facilities and programs concerning quality of care and regulatory compliance. Between 1990 and early 2000, she held various positions in the medical field, including Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse, Infection Control Practitioner, and President of Geriatric Psychological Services' Baltimore Division. She later transitioned into the legal aspects of healthcare, serving as a Nurse Attorney Risk Manager and Executive Director for Risk Management, Patient Safety, and Infection Control Programs.

After obtaining her law degree in 2002, she provided legal services for the Health Education Resource Organization (HERO), conducted mediation for the Maryland Commission for Human Relations, and advised state-wide agencies on regulatory changes. She continues to be actively involved in healthcare compliance and legal education, including instructing new law school graduates in the Maryland Bar Review. Mrs. Grimm is a board member of the Maryland Patient Safety Center and the University of Baltimore Alumni Association and has received several awards recognizing her contributions to healthcare law and policy.

Jason John Murillo is Principal of The Fulfillment Strategy Group and Founder of the group's Fulfillment Leadership Institute and InfoSec Leader Institute. As an Organizational Counselor and Talent Development Consultant, he is dedicated to enabling leaders and organizations in human services, as well as the technology and government information security industries, to design and execute strategies that transform their business and their talent toward greater fulfillment.

With more than 35 years of occupational safety and health experience, John maintained professional certifications in the areas of safety and health and enjoyed Emeritus Status from the Board of Environmental, Health and Safety Auditor Certifications.

During his long career in safety, John's expertise focused on the development of customized training programs that were based on an organization's culture as well as its regulatory requirements. His training programs established uniform standards and performance benchmarks for managers and the workforce.

John was also one of the first safety professionals to develop behavioral-based safety training programs for inclusion in an organization's safety program. His behavioral-based safety training programs focused on accountability in employee attitudes and actions, as well as management's acceptance of responsibility for the behaviors and actions of their employees.

Bill Zagorski oversees Adult Day Health Care centers and related services in middle Tennessee and serves in national and state Adult Day Services leadership roles, including Immediate Past Board Chair of the National Adult Day Services Association.

Donna Hale is a nonprofit management specialist with more than three decades of experience in mission-driven organizations, including work in aging and disability services.

Her expertise includes development, advocacy, event planning, public and media relations, board development, membership strategy, fundraising, grant writing, marketing, and revitalizing organizations through periods of change.

Donna has served in senior leadership and advisory roles with NADSA, the American String Teachers Association, NSEE, and consulting clients across nonprofit and association settings.

Max Kupperberg leads teams that build practical, accessible training systems for people on the frontlines of care, especially those working with older adults and individuals with disabilities in community-based settings.

As CEO of Training & eTracking Solutions, Max oversees the design and direction of training services and products used by organizations across the country to train Direct Support Professionals, Adult Day Care staff, social workers, and nonprofit teams.

His product work focuses on systems that are easy to use, meet regulatory requirements, and help staff deliver better care in real-world service environments.

Tia Sauceda is the Executive Director of the National Adult Day Services Association (NADSA) and a nationally recognized expert in Adult Day Services, dementia care, and person-centered care. With more than twenty years of experience, she began her career as a direct care provider and has since dedicated her work to advancing community-based solutions that support older adults and adults with disabilities to live well and age in place.

Before joining NADSA, Tia served as Senior Director of Services at Seniors Resource Center in Colorado, where she led Adult Day Programs, Caregiver Support Services, and the development of an Integrated Care Model designed to deliver holistic, accessible services.

Her expertise extends to training and curriculum development. She created dementia care curricula for the Alzheimer's Association to support its Center for Dementia Respite Innovation program, and she regularly speaks on topics including meaningful engagement, caregiver resilience, and building system-level solutions for aging in place.

Tia has volunteered to support initiatives with the Alzheimer's Association, the Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias Workgroup, and Dementia Friendly Denver, and she served on NADSA's Board of Directors prior to her appointment as Executive Director. She holds a Certificate in Gerontology from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.

Carly Bruski is a licensed social worker with 15+ years in non-profit and human services, specializing in person-centered, trauma-informed care. She leads national partnerships, develops sustainability strategies, and speaks at conferences nationwide.

Her expertise includes working with immigrants and refugees across older adult services, intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Immigration Coalition.

Carly holds dual bachelor's degrees in Journalism and Women's Studies from Penn State and an MSW from Temple University. In this session, she explores how trauma impacts aging and why person-centered approaches are transforming human services organizations.
